Extensive presence at EAG for Innovative Technology

Although not having a dedicated stand at EAG, Innovative Technology will be all over the show with cash handling products via Maggi Electronics & E-Service and biometrics solutions integrated into gaming machines from Reflex, Inspired and Innov8.

The UK Government White Paper on gambling reform put player protection at the top of the agenda. Age verification in gaming and amusement is now a hot topic but Innovative Technology (ITL) were ahead of the curve, having invested early in the development of a suite of biometric products to accurately estimate age. Over the past year ITL have been working with key OEMs to get AV technology working seamlessly inside gaming machines. At EAG everyone will be able to see ITL’s age verification technology, ICU Lite, inside the GamePro (Reflex) and Vantage machines (Inspired). The technology works with a one-off cost and does not incur any fees per age check, provides an extra layer of security, helping safeguard licences and foster responsible gambling.

Quentin Stott, MD Reflex Gaming, “We showed the GamePro machine with ITL’s age verification inside at ACOS last year and received a lot of interest. With a number of site trials ongoing and more in the pipeline, we look forward to a widescale rollout in 2024. We are proud to be the first machine supplier with an on-machine AV solution using ICU Lite from Innovative Technology.”

Dawn Clarke, Head of Electronic Leisure, Mitchells & Butlers, “Using ITL’s age verification on Reflex gaming machines in our venues is successfully automating the age check process, freeing up time for our staff to serve customers and reducing the need to ask for ID. This is a robust tool for pub retailers to stop minors from playing, further demonstrating our social responsibility obligations, ensuring we meet our licensing objectives and reducing the number of test purchase failures.”

ITL’s latest cash handling products including note and coin validators & recyclers will be across the show inside a number of gaming machines as well as at the Maggi Electronic & E-Service stands.
