During EAG, Nicci from UDC asked if we could put the word out for a fundraising cause close to her heart. Her daughter Chloe (pictured) is a volunteer Young Leader in the local Brownie Unit and has undergone a rigorous selection process in order to be offered an opportunity to represent Girlguiding values abroad.
The only issue is that she and her friend Erin need to raise some funds in order to be able to take up this amazing opportunity. Nicci says, "We were all a bit surprised when Chloe was selected through various stages to represent the Girlguiding. Volunteering to support her local Brownie unit is something that she really enjoys and we are very proud that she gives her time to help others in this way. She would obviously love to take the trip abroad which involves a train tour of Europe next summer. However, the girls need to raise £2,500 each, which is huge. If anyone in the industry could help with a donation - however small - this would make a massive difference to them both."
Chloe says, "This adventure is to be self-funded through a variety of fundraising activities and we need as much support as we can get. We cannot wait to take our Girlguiding adventure even further and to continue making a difference to our community…thank you."
Please can I urge anyone reading this to follow this link to make a little donation to the girls' fundraising page. Their current total really needs some boosting and the girls really deserve to take up the honour that they have worked so hard for.
