Following clarification on the use of credit and debit cards in gambling, issued by bacta, e-Service is calling on its change machine customers utilising contactless card readers to get in touch for clarification of best practice to ensure full compliance with credit card rules.
“Although we are all aware of stringent regulations prohibiting the direct use of cards on gaming machines, we have been advised that no credit card transactions should take place on change machines within FEC locations with Category D machines, or in FECs co-located or situated next to AGCs,” says Mike Clokie, Managing Director of e-Service.
“We have always advised those buying contactless-enabled change machines that they are not to be used in gambling locations, however, in light of these points, there may be some operators who wish to get their contactless devices updated so there is no accidental misinterpretation of the LCCP regulations.”
“At e-Service, we understand that regulatory landscapes evolve, and compliance is an ongoing commitment. Our partnership with operators extends beyond implementation, as we provide continuous support and updates to adapt to changing regulatory requirements,” he adds.
