This year marked the 22nd annual Bacta Golf Day held at the prestigious Moor Park Golf Course in Rickmansworth organised by Steve Hawkins, Chairman of the bacta Charitable Trust. A total of 76 players participated, making it one of the largest turnouts in recent years.
Despite persistent rain throughout the afternoon, the event was a resounding success, with new winners emerging in both the individual and team categories. Steve Bierrum from Genesis Games, a regular participant since 2002, claimed the Individual competition victory. The Team Prize was awarded to the Essex Leisure finance team, consisting of Guy Weller, Rob Mountstephens, Lyndon Filby, and Jon Emin, who have been competing together for the past 20 years.
Steve Hawkins extends his gratitude to all who supported the event with their generous sponsorship and prizes. The event raised over £10,000 for the BACTA Charitable Trust, bringing the total amount raised since its inception in 2002 to over £200,000.
