Bacta Summer Ball Raises £20,000 for Bacta Charitable Trust

The Bacta Summer Ball, held on Friday, 28 June at the stunning Forest of Arden Hotel, proved to be a resounding success, raising an astonishing £20,000 for the Bacta Charitable Trust. The funds will support the children's charity Rays of Sunshine and other worthy causes close to the industry.

The evening was blessed with lovely warm weather, setting the perfect tone for a delightful outdoor drinks reception. Guests enjoyed the scenic views, which set the stage for an unforgettable night of dining, dancing, and charitable giving.

Steve Hawkins, Chairman of the Bacta Charitable Trust, served as the compère for the evening. Reflecting on the event, Hawkins remarked, "It really was a lovely evening once again and a great way to celebrate Bacta's 50th anniversary. There are a lot of people I would like to thank - firstly Karen Cooke for all of her help in organising things. Then there are our Gold Sponsors - Reflex Gaming, Merkur Casino, Ask Global Solutions, and EAG - who contributed to the success of the event. I would like to thank my daughter Jasmine Jade Photography who took all the pictures during the evening, Jo Fallon from Greene King and her daughter Molly who sold the raffle tickets and of course every single person who attended and looked so splendid!"

The evening unfolded with a delicious dinner, which was followed by a series of engaging activities that kept the guests entertained and contributed significantly to the fundraising efforts. A charitable auction, featuring an array of exciting items and experiences, generated spirited bidding and substantial donations.

Additionally, a lively true and false game, expertly run using the Boomerang Digital Jigsaw System, added a competitive edge to the night. The game was a crowd favourite, drawing enthusiastic participation and adding to the overall enjoyment. A raffle, with numerous attractive prizes, also contributed to the fun and the fundraising success. Once again, the live band Sway put on an incredible show and kept the dancefloor filled.

"We are thrilled with the outcome of this year's Summer Ball," added Hawkins. "The generosity and support from everyone who attended are truly heartwarming. The funds raised will make a significant difference to the lives of many children through Rays of Sunshine and other charities we support."
