Bacta has informed members of upcoming changes to the administration of the Bacta ADIPS (Amusement Device Inspection Procedures Scheme) scheme, set to take effect from December 1, 2024.
Under the new structure, the management of the scheme will transition from Bacta to ADIPS Limited, with Carl Hagemann, General Manager of ADIPS, taking over its stewardship.
Bacta President John Bollom reassured members that the organisation’s commitment to health and safety standards will remain unchanged. “Bacta has always prioritised the highest standards of health and safety in the operation of amusement devices, particularly children’s rides. This will not change once the new administrative arrangements are in place. You will now simply be working with ADIPS Limited for your registration and advice,” he stated.
Bacta also emphasised that the safety and well-being of its members’ customers continue to be a top priority.
To provide further details on the transition, Bacta will hold a Teams meeting on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 12 noon. Members are encouraged to attend the session, with further information available by contacting Theresa.
