There were a number of new games at this year's Park Avenue - we gave some of them a whirl!
UDC Games:
Silver Falls (UDC) – 3 player ball drop game with redemption tickets. Complete with seating for 3 players.
We had a go on this new attractive compact game - it is very engaging - silver balls drop from the top of the playfield - the player needs to time the drop to try and get the ball through one of a number of hoops that pass below with different prize values. If successful, the ball will enter a holding box. When the box is full or triggered, the silver balls spill onto the playfield and create more prize opportunities as the come to rest in holes marked with prize values. The more holes that are filled the better the prize. This game does seem to require a reasonable amount of skill and strategy. It's very visually appealing and absorbing.
Bingo-A-Go-Go – 2 and 3 player bingo game. You drop the balls to select a number and light up squares on your bingo card to win tickets.
This was a great favourite with our 'testers'! the ping pong balls fall Pachinko style and hit the pins, ricocheting sometimes randomly into numbers slots at the bottom. The idea is to fill the slots that correspond with the bingo card for a line/s or full house and to fill the slot with the number generated on the playfield. The great thing about this game is that it looks relatively easy but is in fact quite fiendishly tricky!
