The CLMS Golf Day returns for its 30th edition this year, marking a particularly special occasion as it also coincides with St Patrick’s Day itself—Monday, March 17th. First held in 1995, the tournament was founded by Colm Taylor, reflecting his Irish heritage and his passion for bringing people in the industry together.
The 2025 event will welcome both familiar faces and first-time participants from across the sector, including pub retailers, machine suppliers, manufacturers, and long-time friends of the event. Last year’s champion, Greg Wood from SX Leisure, will also be returning to defend his title.
Supporting a Worthy Cause
Beyond the competition, the CLMS Golf Day has played an important role in fundraising for charity over the past five years. For the last three, the event has supported Bassetlaw Hospice in Retford, which provides palliative care for those with cancer and other life-limiting conditions. Thanks to the generosity of attendees and the backing of the BACTA Charitable Trust, more than £15,000 has been raised for this vital cause.
This support wouldn’t be possible without Lincoln Golf Club and the many individuals and businesses who contribute raffle prizes to help boost donations.
As the CLMS Golf Day marks 30 years since its inception, this year’s event promises to be a fantastic occasion filled with golf, networking, and charitable giving. Those unable to attend but who would still like to support Bassetlaw Hospice are encouraged to get involved.
