Disco Bowl to Revive Former MFA Bowling Site in Burnley with Signature Leisure Experience

Disco Bowl, the dynamic operator behind a growing chain of entertainment venues across the UK, has confirmed its takeover of the former MFA Bowl site in Burnley, marking another strategic move in the company’s ongoing expansion.

Situated at Prestige Retail Park, the venue closed in early March following MFA’s departure, but will soon be reimagined under Disco Bowl’s energetic brand, known for combining bowling, karaoke, arcade gaming, and scrapyard-themed crazy golf into fun-filled, family-friendly experiences.

Disco Bowl has developed a strong reputation for reviving and modernising traditional bowling centres with a fresh twist. Their sites typically feature a mix of competitive socialising, immersive environments, and a vibrant food-and-drink offering, designed to appeal to all age groups—from families and teens to adult social groups.

The Burnley venue is expected to undergo a significant transformation, aligning with the operator’s approach to offering multi-activity entertainment under one roof. Though full details have yet to be released, local anticipation is high, with the new operators expected to draw increased footfall back into the retail park and surrounding area.

The takeover is seen as a positive boost for Burnley’s leisure economy and part of a wider trend of operators like Disco Bowl reinvigorating underused venues across the UK. With sites already open in locations such as Nottingham, Stevenage, and Nuneaton, the brand continues to grow its national footprint.

Further announcements about the Burnley site’s relaunch date and facility upgrades are expected soon.
