Simon Bradbury promoted to become Bacta’s Head of Social Responsibility and Compliance

UK trade association Bacta has underlined its unstinting commitment to player protection with the promotion of Simon Bradbury as head of Social Responsibility and Compliance reporting to Bacta Executive Director (Commercial) Robert Gibb.

Describing the development as a reflection of the importance Bacta places on Social Responsibility, Robert Gibb explained: “Simon Bradbury will be responsible for our Social Responsibility and Compliance initiatives. He will deliver these key services to members and ensure that they remain best in class courtesy of a programme of continual review and enhancement.”

He added: “Brad has extensive experience and knowledge in delivering our frontline services as well as a real passion for social responsibility and assisting Bacta members to understand and uphold their compliance requirements and responsibilities in what is a heavily regulated sector.”

Bacta has a long history of supporting responsible gambling and has been at the forefront of initiatives to deliver a safe and enjoyable low stake, low prize gambling entertainment experience. It was one of the first industry bodies to partner with GamCare the pioneering safer gambling charity which was founded by Paul Bellringer OBE in 1997.

The trade association continues to work alongside the community of not-for-profit safer gambling organisations which it hosts on the dedicated Bacta Safer Gambling Hub at its annual EAG Expo.

Bacta’s free to attend SR Exchange is targeted at consumer-facing venue staff, equipping them with the insight, knowledge and confidence to deliver a safer gambling experience in keeping with the organisation’s Social Responsibility Charter. Bacta also helps fund and is a lead participant in the UK Safer Gambling Week consumer awareness event.
