Codona’s Amusement Park has once again demonstrated the positive impact that seaside attractions can have on their local communities, hosting a special day of fun for 200 children and young people from across Aberdeen.
The initiative, organised in partnership with local charity All Life Chances, saw young guests from a range of schools—including Manor Park, Northfield Academy, Bucksburn, St Machar, and Aberdeen Grammar—treated to an unforgettable experience at the beachfront amusement park.
The day included free access to rides, adventure golf, go-karts, laser tag, and dodgems, as well as candyfloss, slushies, and other classic seaside treats. For many of the participants, it was their first time visiting Codona’s.
Gillian Gallan, General Manager at Codona’s, said: “It was an absolute pleasure to welcome so many young people for a day of fun. We’re proud to support the local community, and working with All Life Chances meant we could give back in a way that created real smiles and lasting memories.”
All Life Chances CEO Gary Paterson added: “Days like these can be genuinely life-changing. It’s not just about the rides and the treats—it’s about building confidence, encouraging inclusion, and giving young people the chance to do something different and feel valued.”
The event highlighted the important role that amusement operators can play in supporting community wellbeing, and Codona’s continues to set the standard for socially responsible seaside entertainment.
