Blueprint Operations (BPO) has announced a major expansion of its in-house development capabilities, forming a new head-office-based team dedicated to driving next-generation gaming entertainment.

Under the leadership of Director of Technical and Product Development, Alan Claypole, the six-strong team brings advanced expertise in Unity game development, which is a key part of Blueprint’s strategy to deliver richer, more immersive experiences across the low-stake gaming sector.

This investment marks a significant milestone in BPO’s long-term commitment to gaming innovation and its player-first philosophy, ensuring that every product decision  from content design to interface usability, is guided by player engagement and enjoyment.

Managing Director Andy Tipple said: “This is a really exciting step forward for Blueprint. By building a dedicated Unity development team led by Alan Claypole, we’re enhancing our ability to deliver engaging, responsible, low-stake gaming entertainment that performs strongly for operators. This initiative allows us to innovate on every level and make every stage of the player journey enjoyable and fulfilling.”

The new team is already shaping future releases, contributing to omni-channel content development and working on new licensed products such as Bullseye, which will debut in a Cat C 3-Player format at the Autumn Coin-Op Show (ACOS).

Blueprint is also investing heavily in user experience. Ongoing work includes new menu designs and interface enhancements, featuring improved search tools, favourite-game lists, game previews, and intelligent menus that adapt to venue profiles and player preferences.

These developments form part of Blueprint’s broader vision to combine creativity, technology, and insight to deliver entertainment that stands out. From classic content refreshes to data-driven design, BPO is building the foundations for the next era of player engagement.

Visitors to ACOS will have the opportunity to meet members of the Blueprint senior team, and explore how the company’s expanding development capabilities are shaping the future of responsible, player-focused gaming.
