It is with great sadness that we report the passing of one of the industry’s great characters – Colin Mallery died on Saturday.
Colin had a long career in the industry joining Ruffler & Walker in 1954, where he was Sales Director, then in the same role at Ruffler & Deith before working alongside Harry Levy for almost a quarter of a century as a self-employed consultant.
Colin was the life and soul of any industry gathering with a mischievous sense of humour. He was admired and adored by all those he worked with.
Harry Levy commented, “Colin was a man that was always a real PLEASURE to be with. He was so positive and energetic – one of life’s happy characters and lovely to work and play with. A man I shall never forget.”
Latterly, Colin suffered from Parkinsons disease and he lost his wife Pauline back in 2019. He leaves a daughter Lisa and a son Steven. Lisa commented, “He was definitely a character we had some fun times growing up with him as our dad. We are waiting on paperwork from the GP to set a funeral date, and I will let you know as soon as it is set. We are going to arrange donations for a Parkinsons Charity.”
The Amusement Network will bring you further details of his funeral arrangements when they are available. If you have any lovely memories that you can share and which we can pass on to Lisa and Steven, please do get in touch.
