Electrocoin to Unveil Global Debut of DDR Universal at EAG 2026

Electrocoin has confirmed it will debut DDR Universal on Stand D46 at EAG Expo  marking a major milestone for the international dance machine market.

Making its global debut at EAG, DDR Universal represents the first brand-new Konami dance cabinet to be released outside Japan in eight years. Electrocoin holds exclusive distribution rights for EMEA and has air-freighted a unit specifically for the show, underlining the significance of the launch.

Developed over a two-year collaboration, DDR Universal builds on the legacy of one of the most recognisable and successful rhythm game franchises in the world. Described as “the best dance machine just got better”, the new cabinet introduces a host of upgrades designed to enhance both player experience and operator appeal.

Key features include a larger monitor, striking anniversary cabinet styling finished in a silver/platinum colour scheme and illuminated dance steps that light up when stepped on, complemented by integrated LED lighting within the dance pads. The cabinet has been custom-built for Electrocoin and will be seen publicly for the first time at EAG.

DDR Universal will ship with the brand-new DDR World software, bringing refreshed visuals, updated gameplay and a powerful new content platform. Players can also expect a strong music line-up featuring blockbuster artists including Ariana Grande, Dua Lipa, LMFAO, Porter Robinson, with further licensed content to be announced.

Electrocoin has confirmed that while demand is already strong, a limited number of units remain available from the first production arrival, giving operators attending EAG an early opportunity to secure this landmark release.

“With its combination of iconic gameplay, cutting-edge presentation and major music licences, DDR Universal is set to be one of the standout attractions of EAG 2026 and a must-see for operators looking to refresh their offer,” says Electrocoin’s John Stergides Jr.
