Bacta Charitable Trust and Whitehouse Leisure Raise £43,632 for Rays of Sunshine

The Bacta Charitable Trust, working in partnership with Whitehouse Leisure International Ltd, has announced the latest success of its fundraising efforts, raising an impressive £43,632 for Rays of Sunshine Children’s Charity.

The funds were generated through this year’s popular “grab and give” initiative, which saw the much-loved capybara plush toys featured in crane grab machines across the amusement sector. The campaign once again demonstrated the industry’s collective commitment to charitable giving, with operators nationwide taking part.

The cheque presentation took place on the Whitehouse Leisure International stand during last week’s EAG Expo, with Bacta Charitable Trust Chair John Bollom joined by Bacta Vice President Jeremy Godden, alongside Steve Hawkins, James Miller and Phil Setter.

This latest contribution takes the total amount raised by the Bacta Charitable Trust for Rays of Sunshine to almost £900,000, marking another significant milestone in what has become a long-standing and highly successful partnership.

The Trust extended its thanks to all operators, suppliers and partners who continue to support the initiative year after year, underlining how collaborative industry action can make a meaningful difference to the lives of seriously ill children and their families.

With momentum continuing to build, the Bacta Charitable Trust confirmed it remains committed to expanding its charitable impact and encouraging further sector-wide participation in future fundraising campaigns.
