BACTA TAKES ITS NATIONAL COUNCIL TO LEEDS IN FIRST MEETING OUTSIDE LONDON

Bacta's National Council will be meeting in Leeds on Thursday 18 April 2024.

This is the first time the Bacta National Council has met outside London and forms part of the association's modernisation programme which has the twin aims of streamlining structures and getting closer to members.

Members of Bacta have been invited to a Question and Answer session with their elected National Council members and Bacta's Executive Directors, at 1pm in the Marriot Hotel, 4 Trevelyan Square, Boar Lane, Leeds LS1 6ET.

John Bollom, Bacta President said "For too long Bacta has been London centric and the National Council is determined to change that. What better way to start than taking our governing body to Yorkshire.

"Members are actively encouraged to attend and ask questions on any aspect of Bacta’s work whether that be the Gambling White Paper, our push to get a stake and prize review, the campaign to get cashless play or our plans to improve the Bacta Portal."Our plan is to regularly take our meetings outside London and meet with the membership. We are planning to meet in South West England in September."

If any Bacta members wishes to attend please RSVP sarahr@bacta.org.uk by 15 April.
