Funstation Levels Up with Largest and Most Innovative Concept Yet at Merry Hill

Funstation is preparing to unveil its most ambitious and immersive venue yet at Merry Hill shopping centre near Dudley in the West Midlands later this year. The brand-new 23,700 sq. ft site, titled ‘Carnival Golf & Games!’, marks the next evolution of the Funstation brand and promises to deliver a bold, all-in-one entertainment experience for families and thrill-seekers alike.

Located on the upper mall near Hollywood Bowl, the flagship site is set to become a major new draw for the West Midlands destination, combining mini golf, arcade gaming, escape rooms, VR and more under one roof.

The Ultimate Family Entertainment Destination

Building on more than 20 years of Funstation success across the UK, Carnival Golf & Games! will encapsulate everything the brand is known for—interactive fun, cutting-edge experiences, and a welcoming environment for all ages.

At the centre of the new venue is Carnival Golf, a dazzling new attraction that will be joined by two additional themed mini golf courses, each designed to offer unique challenges and Instagram-worthy visuals. These will sit alongside immersive video and VR games, a broad selection of arcade classics, and, for the first time ever, Breakout Escape Rooms, adding a new dimension to the Funstation offer.

Seamless Technology and Smart Design

Funstation’s cashless tap-to-play system will be integrated throughout the venue, making it easy for guests to enjoy games and attractions using a single card. Points are collected digitally and can be redeemed for prizes on-site, simplifying the guest journey and enhancing engagement.

The venue has also been designed with flexibility in mind, acting as a scalable concept for potential rollout across the UK.
