£1m Investment Set to Transform Rhyl’s Mr B’s Arcade

A beloved seaside amusement venue on Rhyl’s seafront is set for a major overhaul after being acquired by Lyons Holiday Parks, with the operator committing more than £1 million to create a refreshed, modern arcade experience ahead of the 2026 season.

The well-known Mr B’s Arcade — previously run by Tir Prince Amusements — will benefit from extensive investment aimed at revitalising both its entertainment offering and overall guest experience. Lyons has pledged to introduce a wide range of new amusement machines and attractions, alongside refreshed food and beverage options and other visitor amenities.

A spokesperson for Lyons said the revitalised venue will be “designed for fun, connection and unforgettable moments,” underlining the company’s intent to honour the arcade’s heritage while reimagining it for contemporary customers.

“For years, Mr B’s has been more than just an arcade — it’s been part of the heartbeat of Rhyl,” the spokesperson commented. “Now, Lyons Holiday Parks is proud to be taking the reins — and we’re bringing big energy, big investment, and big plans.”

Work on the project is already underway, although Lyons has noted some delays in building materials and equipment shipments, with a target reopening anticipated for August 2026 — just before the peak summer season.

The redevelopment forms part of a wider commitment by Lyons to enhance entertainment and leisure facilities in the local area, supporting not only holidaymakers but the wider Rhyl community. “We can’t wait for people to see what’s coming,” the company said. “This is about more than new machines — it’s about adding something exciting to the town, raising the bar for entertainment, and creating a venue that locals will be proud of and visitors will keep coming back for.”
