Bacta has confirmed that it will convene an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on Thursday 16 July 2026 at 3pm to allow members to vote on a series of proposed technical amendments to the association’s rules.
According to the association, the amendments follow governance and structural changes implemented in recent years and are intended to “tidy up” a number of remaining technical matters while strengthening Bacta’s internal governance arrangements ahead of this year’s AGM.
Bacta stressed that the proposed changes are not expected to have any material impact on the way the association operates or on the services provided to members, but are designed to ensure its governance framework remains “robust, up to date and fit for the future.”
To help members better understand the proposed amendments ahead of voting, Bacta will also host a dedicated webinar on Wednesday 17 June 2026 at 10:30am. The session will walk members through the proposed rule changes in detail and provide an opportunity for questions and discussion.
The timetable confirmed by Bacta is as follows:
Wednesday 17 June 2026 – Member webinar (10:30am)
Wednesday 1 July 2026 – Notice of resolutions issued
Wednesday 8 July 2026 – Voting opens
Wednesday 15 July 2026 – Voting closes
Thursday 16 July 2026 – Extraordinary General Meeting (3:00pm)
Further information, including the formal resolutions and details of the voting process, will be circulated to members ahead of the webinar.
