"On July 22nd, 36 eager pinball players gathered at the Funland arcade in the Brunswick Centre, Russell Square for the largest pinball tournament in Central London for several years. 12 of the UKs top 50 players were present, as well as a host of up and coming newer players and talented juniors. The tournament format was a 12 round 4-player group matchplay competition on 9 of the latest Stern machines - headlined by the exquisite Bond 60th anniversary edition pinball.
After a hard fought qualifying series, with a stellar 9 first places in 12 matches, Nathan "The Real Deal" Garwood topped the standings with 72 points, meaning he would receive the right to select the game that would be played in the final. The other finalists were Yuen Aw - the UK number 4, the fast rising young gun Josh Iles (UK number 6) and the skilful local Funland regular Punk Stig.
