The first Bandai Namco Cross Store outside of Japan officially opened in Camden Market last week and our arcade editor Toby Na Nakhorn visited the preview event.
The store/arcade is described by the company as a "celebration of the physical market and Bandai Namco’s heritage as a worldwide entertainment company."
There are six distinct retail experiences within the concept where customers can interact physically with characters and products. The store "offers a wide selection of high-quality Japanese character products from collectables, card games, figures, and everyday items," according to the official publicity.
Toby commented, "It's exciting to have the first Cross Store outside of Japan, plus an amusement arcade, four minutes' walk from Babylon Park. It's always good to see the industry showing it has its finger on the pulse a bit more with young people."
